Introduction
Refund is an option to create a credit note from a supplier and works in the same way as creating a Purchase Order.
If you have already booked off an order and then need to raise a late credit note request to the supplier you would use Refund.
Assumption
You have the permission set to use this
Suppliers are set up as favourites
Stock locations and stock sheets have been created
Where to find this
StORM > Orders > Refund
Step by Step Guide
Click on Refund, then click on Add
Choose the Location, find the item you need the Refund for and add the quantity. Click on the + to add the item or if you are adding multiple items enter the quantities and scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Add Items. You will see the number of items are listed in the Review Refunds buttons at the top and bottom of the page.
Click on Review Refunds, these are listed by Supplier. When you are ready to confirm the refund, click on either Confirm under each supplier or Confirm All if you have created more than one to send them all the suppliers in one go.
If you would like to link it to the original Purchase Order you can make a note in the Add Comment area.
This will generate a new Purchase Order number, similar to creating an order.
You don't need to 'book off' the refund as once sent it will by-pass the booking off process and automatically become a credit note estimate.
